- Vacuum Block
Installation Instructions
- Remove factory vacuum lines from supercharger. The lines at the passenger firewall (2 of them) will be reused. Your factory HVAC line (black) and the yellow boost line will be reconnected later. Set other lines aside; you won’t be using them again.
- Remove the blower and lower intake from the car. (Note: This step is not necessary if you have already deleted the factory egr setup.)
- Plug extra ports per the diagram. and cap unnecessary fittings.
- You will need to source npt fittings and soft plastic caps as necessary for each specific application.
- When installing fittings, it is best to use Permatex Thread Sealant (Part # 59235).
- Remove egr lines. Remove bottom 90* fitting from lower intake. Plug the port with the provided npt, and use Permatex Thread Sealant.
- Example shows fuel regulator located behind the driver side strut tower. (Refer to photo.) This location is necessary for premade hose routing. If located elsewhere, a custom hose length is necessary. “Hose length from vacuum block to fuel pressure regulator is based upon the regulator being positioned behind the driver strut tower. Refer to picture. If your fuel pressure regulator setup is different then a custom hose length is necessary.
- Locate Vacuum Block and place against plastic fire wall area. (Refer to photos.) Find desired location similar to example photo, and mark the holes.
- Recommendation: Use blue thread locker on end of bolts and make two dots indicating where to drill.
- Using a rivnut gun, place a threaded fitting into the hole. (This will simplify install and removal in the future.)
- If you do not have this tool, a screw and double-sided tape can be used to secure it into place.
- Measure and assemble an hose and fittings to desired length.
- Disregard this step if you ordered the kit as a preassembled kit.
- Connect -6 hose end to the lower boost port located on the supercharger base plate.
- Reinstall supercharger and lower intake to the motor
- Shortest 5.5” -4 line will connect on right end of vacuum block as you look at the motor from front of car and route over to the fuel regulator.
- You will have 2 -4 19” lines. Both lines will have 90* fittings. Connect them to the Vacuum Block. Both will have a ¼ nipple fitting that will attach to the frps and the yellow boost line at passenger firewall. FRPS will need a short ¼” rubber hose connection provided in the kit too.
- Connect the base plate boost line -6 line to the vacuum block far left side. This will complete the install.
- Test system for vacuum leaks and enjoy.
